In a study, you should make sure you have adequate light for the type of work you will be doing in this room. Try to ensure you have a source of light in front of you to prevent shadows being cast over your work. A multi positional spotlight is ideal for this as you can direct light towards a workstation, shelf or filing cabinet. Again, we would recommend having too much light in this room as a poorly lit work area can cause strains and problems with your eyesight.

An adjustable desk lamp is a very good home lighting idea for your study or work area - angle it so that it illuminates your work space, and doesn't glare in your eyes. Uplighters and floor lamps can also be used to create additional light, they are easy to move around the room and can be positioned next to the desk to create more room on the worktop.
